We are very pleased to be associated with this initiative. In 2018 it will be the 75th anniversary of the first mission from Boxted Airfield. We warmly welcome the children, Grandchildren, Gt Grandchildren of the men who served there. From 1943 to 1945 it was home to the 386th BG, 354TH FG, 56th FG,  5th Emergency Rescue Squadron. The RAF took over when the Americans left and various squadrons were in residence from Oct 1945 until 1947.

We would be delighted to take you on a tour of the base which still has several original buildings including the operations block the nerve centre of the airfield.

There are some excellent places to stay very close to the airfield.

The trustees of the museum would be happy to assist with transport during your visit.
